Capricorn History

The Company commenced trading in 1989 from office premises in Ringwood, on the South Coast of England. The business was set up by the current Managing Director, David Prevett, who had secured the rights to manufacture and distribute a small benchtop centrifuge, which had been designed specifically for use in clinical trials.

This product was already established in the market and, at the time, was exclusively manufactured for the largest central laboratory in the UK. Since then, the Company has expanded steadily and in 2005 it relocated to prestige offices at Glasshouse Studios in Fordingbridge.

The Directors are committed to providing a service of the highest standard and, in April 2000, the Company achieved accreditation to ISO 9001:1994. The quality management system has subsequently been updated and is now accredited to ISO 9001:2000.
